The sign of Sunrise 7 quality.

As judged by the Sunrisers: the above design will soon be spotted as our mark of recognition, be it of a good cafe, a blat destination, perhaps the site of a memorable experience, that of a friend or just an attitude. Look out for this sign...they're out there.

Some say that Sunrise Seven members ate their own bed sheets so as to leave no trace as to where they had slept before their first Sunrise Blat. And that, inserted deep in their subconscious, is an alarm set to go off when the roads are dry and empty, irrespective of responsibilities, duties and needs of others.

They are amongst us, outwardly the same as everyone else, but, at dawn, when the elements are right, they can be heard across the counties of Southern England 'heeling and toeing' into every apex in close formation, rarely seen, but very well fed: we know them only as the Sunrisers.

(Cue the music)

(Raise curtains)

(Drop the maturity)

(Roll grainy archive footage of wild overtakes and whooping middle aged men!)

The Sunrisers C7 (TM) is the unofficial drivers association of the Sunrise Seven Squadron and, as such, does not represent the Squadron in matters of noise infringement, ebullience, sartorial malwear (sic), misuse of the Queen's English (or any of Freddie mercury's lyrics), flagrant displays of road craft skills, environmental ignorance, rubbish table manners and post blat sulking.

The Sunrisers are a British Virgin Island registered organisation and we've hidden all the funds, so try getting that off us you suckers.

Frost and Beaches?

...don't usually mix.

0.5C is cold on the Hog's Back* at 7am with no screen and the prospect of a beach destination (well, a cafe on the beach) represented a fair stretch of will power in taking advantage of this morning's dry roads and promised sunshine.I could see stars, so it must surely warm up at some point?
*this is not a euphemism!

It did, and of course the webers welcome the opportunity for a venturi of cold dense air to deliver to it's eager partner the X-flow valve gear.

Hayling Island Sunday morning, October. Doesn't excite does it? It's a good blat destination if you choose the right roads ,the Full English at Delia's is it's only other saving grace. But add some crisp clear sky and a light weight sports car and it's as good as anywhere in the world at that point!

Which one's been polished?
