The decision to close "trasandino" road, the route to go to Chile from Argentina, generated a lot of drama in the organization of the Dakar rally. This is due to a heavy snowfall that occurred yesterday in the "La Gruta" zone.
The report of the Border Crossings Unit of the Government of Chile, indicates that in the Chile side there are no problems and has not fallen big quantity of snow, the Argentine territory is living the opposite situation and during the afternoon theres been a new report about the climatic conditions of the sector.
The determination of closing the road immediately generated ASO reaction, considering that the caravan must enter to Chile on Friday to begin the sixth stage of the rally.
