Rossi will start from position 13 in the race on Sunday (16/10) after scoring takes about two seconds slower than Casey Stoner, who earn the pole.
"Before we came here, we expect better results than this, given the Icelandic Phillip is a track where Ducati and I always look good," said Rossi on Speed TV.
"Besides, I have trouble driving, and I'm very slow. It's embarrassing and I apologize. Evidence of us have not been able to overcome the problems we have had since the first session here."
Although it will start the race from the bottom position, Rossi promised to make changes in his bike for the race tomorrow and will fight hard for a much better result.
"We will try to make some small changes in the heating tomorrow, but although we will try to do better than this, I expect a tight race," added Rossi.
Casey Stoner won the MotoGP race leading position in Australia. The Honda rider team also swept all before free practice session since last Friday (14/10/2011) yesterday.
