Video: F1 engine in a Tourism Car

Please, first of all, watch this video and then continue reading the article.

One of the most thrilling racing series is going to face 2012 championship with an unbelievable new technical approach. "TC2000" is going to use v8 engines with Formula 1 specifications.

Its the second time in the racing history that a racing category with front wheel traction decides to use v8 engine with a lot of horsepower.
BTCC tried in 1994 this combination and they found that there is a natural limitation of horsepower in this kind of cars. Everytime that they pass 330 horsepower the cars were undriveable. They tried it and failed at racing with such a big engine.
BTCC opted to change the traction configuration, they switch to AWD (all whell drive)

This is the v8 engine: Built by Radical (made in England)
