Facebook Mobile a month 300 Million People Visited

SAN FRANCISCO - More than 300 million users accessing Facebook through mobile devices, according to a recent report from the Next Web. As of December 27, Facebook saw the number of active users that use mobile applications over 300 million.

Citing a report by Benedict Evans of Enders Analysis, said that IOS and Android is an application account for more than two-thirds of Facebook mobile application usage. The increase in numbers is probably due to the many people presented Christmas gifts, with Android and IOS devices among the most coveted prize this year.

"Surprisingly enough, this is dominated by two platforms like IOS and Android. However Windows Phone is still quite significant, although it may change next year," said Evans, as reported by eWeek, Saturday (12/31/2011).

Meanwhile, about 70 percent of active users have installed the BlackBerry Facebook application. While Android and IOS download the mobile version of Facebook. However, perhaps the most interesting analysis is presented Evans in which he said Facebook began to see IOS and Android applications as a single platform.

"Facebook started adding excess HTML5 for devices other than the desktop, which makes this application more and have a thin distance from his desktop. IOS and Android have it," he said.
