A quick and blunt recapitulation for all of you. I was going to bed and I remembered to post on my blag so this is going to suck, but I think it's pretty true in general. Maybe I'm out of touch...
I'm probably out of touch...
Republicans: Lower taxes, especially for the upper classes; have total faith that them having more wealth will ultimately result in everyone having more wealth (something that his been disproved time and time again). Cut spending, especially on social policies (unless it pertains to them or in any way educates people). No matter how unnecessary, the military budget is untouchable, unless you want to throw more money at it. Leave education to the state or family. Basically, they're faith-based idiots who are total jerks.
Democrats: Make taxes fair, lower taxes for the poor, raise them for the rich. Can't trust anyone wealthy (absolutely no faith in humanity). Spend, spend, spend, but in the "right" places. Talk a lot, become total pussies under pressure (basically wastes of time and taxpayer money). Educate the masses for a better future, simplify and empower the federal government for the good of the people. Tendencies to be obnoxious pricks. Infrastructure! Fuck corporations, save the worker (that'll keep em here) *sarcasm*.
Average Americans: Middle of the road, swings left to right with time and frustration with the other parties bullshit. Probably registered to a party, votes with that party most of the time, but flips if necessary. Wants education for children. Wants less government involvement. Hates corporations shitting on them. Hates paying social security and taxes but loves the outcomes. Basically, the other two parties take turns shitting on them.
Yeah... I'm out of touch.

What the Fuck Is This, I Don't Even
Happy Hump-Day-Wednesday everyone! To start today's mandatory blag post I would like to show you a YouTube video that my good friend Taylor sent me. He gave absolutely no warning or context. So all I have to say is:
"Taylor, what the fuck is this, I don't even..."
I'm almost positive that you will all feel the same.
Now that we got past that, I have big news. In case you didn't know last night was the, drumroll please, 2011 Presidential State of the Union Address.
Now, I personally think that the State of the Union is total bullshit, at least what it has become. It's kind of sad that it takes a national crisis or some stupid annual tradition for three key parts of our government to get together and outline each others goals.
Back in the old days, State of the Union addresses were much more common; in some instances it happened a few times in a single year. They were also given in the form of a letter most of the time, although there were of course speeches. Woodrow Wilson really made the custom of speaking annually and it's stuck.
Now State of the Union addresses are Constitutional obligations by the president. Article II, Section II of the United States Constitution says:
In case you missed that or something, basically the Constitution says that our lame-ass President has to, from time to time, get in touch with our shitty-ass Congress and tell them what's up because apparently that's not somewhat inherent with their duties. I personally think the President should be talking to Congress as a whole at least twice a year. It shouldn't be this massive, stupid, event.
Also, what the hell is with the rebuttals? I looked them up and I'm ashamed to say that modern Democrats started this bullshit tradition. I fucking hate the party I align with.... This entire sick show is just a microcosm of the fucking bullshit that is U.S. Government. Why the fucknuggets are you giving a rebuttal to a statement you stupid shitheads!?!
I swear to God, our politicians these days are like children...
This is a fucking joke. America is a fucking joke. Thanks guys, you made my blag post digress into a public breakdown. I hate this stupid country, I hate the people who run it, I hate the people who are so dumb that they've fallen for this bullshit, and I hate the idea that it's only going to get worse.
...
We're all retarded and we're going to end up as the shit on the rest of the worlds shoes. I blame the baby boomers. ^-^ LOL
Cheers!

It's All Politics
On February 10, 2007 then-Illinois-Senator Barack Hussein Obama II announces that he will be running for President of the United States in the 2008 election. With conservative President George W. Bush's second term coming to a rocky end much of the nation is ready for a fresh, startand Obama, considered one of the most liberal senators in Washington at the time, seems like a prime candidate.
June 3, 2008, Obama defeats Hillary Clinton in the Democratic National Primaries and becomes the official Democratic Nominee for President. Rallying behind his Hope and Change catchphrases, hundreds of thousands prepare and unite for the upcoming November. If I recall, there is a sense of joy and anticipation in the nation.
The election arrives on November 4, 2008 and Senator Obama becomes President-Elect Obama after winning on an electoral college tidal wave of 365 votes to Senator McCain's 173. The nation is a land of mixed feelings, but mainly excitement. The first black president in United States history is elected to the highest seat in the land. People rejoice and prepare for the impending change that the man they have invested all their hope in has promised.
January 20, 2009, Obama is inaugurated in front of the largest crowd to ever visit the National Mall for any event (somewhere around 1.5 million people) and becomes the 44th President of the United State. National pride seems to soar and every prepares for an all-Democratic, all-change-we-can-believe-in Government. I remember wishing I was able to vote in that election. I remember being excited to be able to help re-elect him in four years time. I am proud of my nation and happy that change is coming.
December 6, 2010 President Obama loses my vote, and the votes of many others. In my opinion, this man can be and should be primaried out of office. He's let us down for the last time.
I can't blame him, he was just naive. I genuinely think he meant to stand up for us, to be the leader of a movement for change. The problem was that he underestimated the power of Washington and overestimated the power of the people.
For the last two years we've had a Congress with a Democratic majority in both houses, and a Democratic President. For the last two years we've watched as nearly 300+ men and women who we put our faith in to take care of us and enact change for the betterment of our country
were trampled on by the Republicans. For the last two years we've seen a decline into complete and utter politics.
No doubt, they got things done, I know... I've been to the website. But they didn't get what we wanted done.
As a nation we put our hearts into this candidate. We defended him and his seeming lack of power for almost two years; but I, for one, am done.
Nothing has changed and if it has, it's only changed for the worse. I've never felt so hopeless before now. Our government doesn't seem to care about us anymore. Our elected leaders, the men and women we send to Congress to run our country. The people we send to maintain this country and keep it good, are not there for that.
The Republican party's behavior over the last two years has been disgusting to me. Never before have there been more filibusters. Their entire purpose is not to get their point across and aid in the reconstruction of this nation, as it should be. From what I have seen and heard straight out their own mouths, their entire goal is to ensure that President Obama is in office for only one term.
I am saddened to say they may have won.
Starting at 12:01AM on January 1, 2011 the Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire. This will increase taxes for all Americans by nearly 5%. In an economic recession this is simply not the right thing to do. Both sides understand this, and wish to extend the cuts. There are just some little problems.
The deficit, debt, and the richest 2% of Americans.
Simply put, the wealthiest 2% of Americans have a tax break of, on average, $100,000. Meanwhile middle and lower class Americans have a tax break of something like $2000-$5000.
Simply put, the wealthiest 2% of Americans have a tax break of, on average, $100,000. Meanwhile middle and lower class Americans have a tax break of something like $2000-$5000.
Letting the tax-cut extend is like refusing to fix a badly bleeding wound. On that same metaphor, overdoing it can easily lead to an immobile economy, one that starts to decline again.
It's a tough decision, tax-cuts give a much needed tax-break to those middle and lower class people who put money back into the economy and stimulate it, but it costs so much. If you want to know how much it costs, here is a quick statistic.
The top 2% have about 25% of the wealth in the nation. If they continue to have tax cuts then it will cost 4 Trillion Dollars over the course of 10 years. Along those thought lines it's pretty easy to see that ending all tax-cuts would be a massive step towards fixing this country's debt and deficit (the main thing Republicans want to have fixed). However, as I stated earlier, we can't do that because of the state of the economy. Taking $2000 from a lower-middle class worker is extremely detrimental.
After looking up some other statistics, you find out of all of the income-increases for the past 20 years (since Reagan and his trickle-down ideology started) 80% has gone to the top 1% of America in terms of wealth.
In theory, this should have made jobs. But all over the nation we see jobs disappearing, they have been for 20 years, just look at our car manufacturing.
The theory works on paper, but in reality there is one problem, one fault, one part of the equation that fucks it all up... GREED.

The theory works on paper, but in reality there is one problem, one fault, one part of the equation that fucks it all up... GREED.
Simply put, a millionaire or billionaire is not going to spend that extra $100,000, or $300,000. If they do spend it, it's not going to be on creating new jobs for us lower class folks who are suffering. It's cheaper to outsource, plain and simple.
So you would think that letting those tax-cuts expire for the top 2% would, overall, be a good thing, because it is. The Republicans don't think so... they let unemployment benefits for the poorest Americans expire because "it costs too much" while simultaneously waving the banner for a greedy minority in America who will cost us a ridiculous amount, and to no avail.
The Republicans filibustered a plan to extend Bush-era tax cuts for the lower and middle class while letting them expire for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. As they have been doing for this entire 111th Congress. In fact they said that they refuse to vote on anything else until they resolve the issue (as they turn around and stall it).
Democrats, Obama, had a chance to call their bluff, and for a moment, just for a moment, I had hope that they would. Republicans would never let all Bush-era tax cuts end for everybody. Even House Minority Leader John Boehner said, himself, he would vote with the Democrats if he had to.
The House passed a bill. It went to the Senate, where it was filibustered. Democrats didn't have the votes to break it.
That would have been fine, it would have been amazing because then they could have pushed the Republicans to the very edge and forced them to either take blame for raising everyone's taxes or help out.
Monday, December 6, 2010, Obama throws in the towel. Our last chance, the lame duck congress with two Democratic houses. He caves. He has let me down. He has let America down.

I don't know the interests of the Senators, but it isn't us. I don't know who the Representatives care about, but it isn't our country. I don't know what Obama is fighting for, but it isn't me, or you.
It's all politics.
Democrats step on us, so we vote Republican. Republicans step on us, so we vote Democrat. It's no longer about the well being of our country, it's about whether Washington D.C. is Red or Blue.
There are two Senators who are Independent. One of them, Senator Bernie Sanders speaks for us. The people, the majority. He speaks for the poor, and the shrinking middle class. He isn't a politician, he is a Senator. He made a great speech before this bill was turned down. I want you all to listen. This is a man who is in Washington for us, not some politics, or some money.

Next election, we're going to elect a Republican. After that, a Democrat, and then a Republican. But I have faith that one day we will turn our backs on these monsters that are controlling us, and elect someone like this man.
Until then...
Until then...
It's all politics.

North Korea Just Accidentally The Whole Island of Yeonpyeong! Wat do?
Something important has occurred, and I'm gonna rant about it! Wanna hear it, here it goes...
As many of you may already know, North Korea just accidentally the whole island of Yeonpyeong, South Korea. In case some of you have been slacking off on your history homework, let me assure you that this a pretty big deal (like me, ZING).

Quick history lesson!
N. Korea and S. Korea used to be one nation, but then Korea suffered a severe case of acute schizophrenia which was, The Korean War. At the end of the war the two sides of Korea decided to draw a big-ass fucking line right down the middle of them and declared it demilitarized (even though they both have huge fucking armies on both sides basically ready to bum-rush across the border and fuck shit up at a moments notice). Since then, 1953, the two sides have basically been having a really intense staring contest.

This would be all fine and dandy if it were really just about N. Korea and S. Korea. The fact is, this battle is being fought by two small powers, but they have puppet masters. In the Korean War of the 50's it was communism versus capitalism, the USSR versus America. Today, it's China versus America, seeing as the USSR disbanded and left Russia a bankrupt fucking pit (good job guys).
In case you're really out of the loop. Let me tell you that China and America are not on the friendliest of terms. In fact I'm almost positive that the only reason we tolerate each other is because we know we can't live without the other. China and the US are those two teenage girls who love to talk and hang out but behind each others back, can't STAND each other. Yeah, China and the US are teenage girls... good metaphor Howie.
Anyways.
Now that we have all that back-story cleared up and in view, let's jump to the current news!
North Korea just accidentally the whole island of Yeonpyeong! Sometime around 2PM on Monday N. Korean artillery opened fire on the S. Korean island. They launched "dozens (of millions)" of rounds and S. Korea immediately retaliated by scrambling F-16 fighter jets and returning fire with "over 80(thousand)" rounds of artillery fire.

The whole island was evacuated and so far it seems like nearly two (hundred) S. Korean soldiers died with many more injured, alongside numerous civilian injuries. Pictures showed the island ablaze with plumes of smoke rising from homes.
Officials are saying this is the biggest tantrum N. Korea has thrown since the war ended back in '53. S. Korean officials out of Seoul are warning the nation-child that is N. Korea that another sucker punch like this and they will suffer "enormous retaliation," Likely in the form of all-American weaponry.
Of course, according to N. Korea, it's not a sucker punch at all. Apparently, the S. Korean navy was participating in a live fire drill in the area. N. Korean officials had warned the southerners about firing in the disputed waters. That being said, the S. Korean ships were never in N. Korean waters and fired away from land. This after officially assuring the North that it was a drill, and they would not be harmed in any way.
North Korea decided to open fire on a civilian island anyways.
North Korea decided to open fire on a civilian island anyways.
What I find totally hilarious is the reaction by the rest of the world. South Korea, although outraged, is showing a ridiculous amount of restraint. Like a parent at the grocery store, trying to stay calm, but firm, right after their little tyrant in the cart knocked over three jars of tomato sauce. I have read many quotes by officials stating that this is literally just North Korea throwing a little temper tantrum to get attention.
Perhaps the best way to fight these fuckers is to just ignore them.
I stand by my words when I say that North Korea itself is NO THREAT to the United States. Have you seen what America has done to organized military in the past 20 years? Of course you haven't because no-one cares, because it's not fucking interesting. You wanna know why it's not interesting? It's because the United States literally decimates its enemies on the battlefield. The only place where we fail is when the population fights back, or when the enemy engages in guerrilla warfare.
The United States has enough military cojones to slap the shit out of N. Korea in a month, I don't give a fuck if they have the worlds second largest standing army, we're 30+ years ahead of them in technology. We can rain flaming fucking hell from the skies, without EVER being seen or heard. We can rain flaming fucking hell from the skies from hundreds of miles away. To be honest, I'm almost positive we could do that from here in the United States.
The only thing standing between us and spanking North Korea into fetal submission, is China!
China is the real threat, and every time North Korea slaps it's southern brother it runs back underneath China for protection.
I hope N. Korea decides to continue and attack S. Korea for retarded-ass reasons. I hope they prove without a shadow of a doubt that they are in the wrong, and I hope they get cocky enough to try and pick a real fight. I hope the whole world says, "Wow, you're being a dick." and turns it's back on N. Korea. I hope that China has to decide to either defend the blatantly wrong or turn the cold shoulder in order to protect it's own economic interests.
I really want to see this happen, because I'm fucking tired of hearing about Kim Jong Il and his stupid bullshit.
