The winner of the 2007 season has had discussions with the team about a possible return to the category next season, even if Barrichello is determined to stay in the sport with Williams.
Barrichello says it will be a false move of the team if they take a less experienced driver to prioritize potential financial contributions that this could bring, as an inexperienced driver is prone to more errors.
"I do not think anyone else, including Kimi, can offer more than me," Barrichello said. "The team know what I am capable of delivering"
"The young drivers may have more money, but may also have more poor performances from the first lap making money go away with so many accidents. At day's end, Williams knows my dedication to work, despite not having a competitive car. We know how much i put in the team and all I want to bring in the next year. Need to wait and see what they have to say about this matter and I hope it is resolved soon "
The veteran of 39 years admits he may have to be campaigning to raise funds from sponsors to keep his seat.
However, Williams has not cited him to discuss this matter, so far as he knows funding is not a condition to maintain his position.
"If the team says is a requirement, then will work to get it," said Barrichello. "But I'm not sure Williams asks me that,"
Barrichello says he is also looking for vacancy in other teams, it is said that Renault is considering Barrichello, in case Kubica could not be ready to begin the 2012 season.
But the Brazilian also says he would like to run a competitive car and not to take any seat at any cost.
"Sure, there are other teams," said when asked if he had spoken to other teams.
"I love to drive a fast car, and there are some teams that might build fast cars for next season"
