Sebastian Vettel can get even better in 2012

Vettel Horner Kiss

Sebastian Vettel has still more to improve in his driving for the next year, despite having been the dominator of all races this year.

This is the opinion of the director of Red Bull Racing's Christian Horner, who says that Vettel should not rest on their laurels after becoming the youngest double world champion.
Vettel finished his brilliant season in the Grand Prix of Japan with a third position, and though his results this year have been almost perfect, Horner says Vettel has yet to improve.

"It will be difficult for him to improve what has been achieved, but I know that Sebastian is never satisfied and always looking to improve," said Horner, whose team is fighting for the constructors' championship title. "And that's what makes it a strong competitor."

Horner says the team regain its approach to the Korean Grand Prix, as the options for achieving the constructors' championship can still be threatened by McLaren.

"I think the main goal now is to close the constructors' championship, but of course there are some things we feel they are already done," he said. "I am sure that now the main goal of Sebastian is to help the team to win the constructors'

The rival teams have been working on their cars for the 2012 to try to ensure that next year start in the best way possible - and Horner said the team is taking nothing for granted in their ambitions to remain at the top of the F1.

"We had an exceptional year, we had an exceptional year in 2010, we had a great 2009 and the team has worked great as a group of people, and as a team," he said. "The effort made for this weekend with the components that leave the factory at the last moment: it shows the passion and effort and desire that burns in this team.

"But it would be foolish to underestimate our competitors and rivals, and of course, unlike previous years, the rules are pretty much the same. There is a common provider of tires and more stringent regulations in certain areas, so we will try to maintain our pace. "

He added: "Obviously everything we do this year help us to learn and benefit from this for the next year. Until the checkered flag in Brazil there is no change in our approach ..

"The priority is to ensure that Mark gets to the top too, want to see him take up positions and finish the season with a good result, and all we can learn and draw from this year will apply to the next year cars."

Horner also suggested that the team would be bringing parts of the development of 2012 cars for the remainder of the season.

"It's the only chance we really have of testing, so of course we will try to optimize all the time we have this year," he said.
